Our Program for Advanced Students
Focus on Showing Talent
It is a training course for advanced students to showcase their programming prowess through participation in international competitions. The preparation work is highly intensive and students are required to commit between 6 – 9 months. The individual is required to have a strong foundation in Mathematics, a passion for programming and the fortitude to persevere through countless hours of thinking through highly difficult coding challenges. Our selection process requires all interested students to take an entry examination.
Focus on the Experience
Competitions play a role in motivating students to perform and excel and offer a lot more reward than just the winning prize. They offer a chance for participants to gain substantial experience, showcase skills, analyze and evaluate outcomes and uncover personal aptitude.
Notable competitions that students will be joining during their coursework includes Canadian Computing Competition – CEMC and Code Quest, Singapore, SG | Lockheed Martin.
Meet Paarth, an 11-year-old zealous programmer. Paarth enrolled in our Competitive Programming course and yield fantastic results in his first very coding competition, i.e. the Canadian Computing Competition (CCC). He was awarded a Certificate of Distinction and ranked in the top twenty-five percent of contestants who took part in the competition. His achievements are highly commendable given that he had only programmed for 2 years and is one of the youngest competitors in the competition.
** CCC is a global competition and garners thousands of participants on a yearly basis. It is an individual competition which tests students their prowess as a programmer.
Requirements: Each participant is required to take an entry test (including those who are retaking the course), which is held for a duration of 2 weeks, i.e. first and second week of May in all The Lab centers. Only participants who passed the test can join this program.
