Program Overview
01.
Coding, Robotics & AI Literacy — Built to Last
The Lab Coder program uses our proprietary platform to introduce kids to Python coding, hands-on robotics and AI literacy through fun, interactive learning.
The curriculum is broken up into 4 stages — Foundation, Basic, Intermediate and Advanced. From Basic level onward, students work with real robotics hardware (Raspberry Pi, sensors, motors, buzzers) alongside AI-assisted debugging and reporting tools, while Python remains the throughline — one of the most in-demand programming languages in both academia and industry. By the end of the course, your child will have achieved a high level of competency in Computational Thinking and AI Literacy, and will be able to code confidently in Python while understanding how AI supports (and sometimes limits) a good programmer.
02.
Rigorous, AI-Native & Academically-Driven
Our curriculum is highly rigorous and academically-driven. It is reviewed quarterly by Dr. Oka Kurniawan, SUTD Senior Lecturer, to ensure it stays relevant in today’s fast-changing AI and robotics landscape. Its framework is based on the Computer Science degree syllabus, and because The Lab is closely associated with the Singapore University of Technology and Design, students get a platform to pursue their passion in technology further — building substantial coding and robotics portfolios through individual project work and presentations.
03.
Future Leaders, Competition-Ready
The end results are students who take thoughtful risks, engage in experiential learning, persist in problem-solving, embrace collaboration, and work through the creative process. Coder-level trainees who complete the Basic level are guaranteed entry into our Champion Team Training Programme, with structured preparation for national and international coding and robotics competitions such as RoboCup and the National Robotics Competition (NRC) — and a portfolio that strengthens their Direct School Admission (DSA) application. These are the innovators, educators, leaders, and learners of the 21st century.
