🥇 1 Platinum Award
🥈 3 Silver Awards
🥉 4 Bronze Awards
The Hwa Chong Infocomm Challenge (HCIC) is a prestigious annual competition organised by Hwa Chong Institution. The competition aims to generate greater interest in the field of infocomm among primary school students and provides an excellent platform for young talents to explore programming, coding, and robotics while developing computational and analytical thinking skills.
Participants are challenged with questions that test programming logic, problem-solving abilities, and computational thinking concepts. Success in HCIC requires not only technical knowledge but also strong logical reasoning, perseverance, and the ability to apply concepts to unfamiliar situations.
We are incredibly proud of all 11 trainees who stepped up to the challenge. Competitions like HCIC provide valuable opportunities for children to stretch their abilities beyond the classroom, gain exposure to higher-level problem-solving, and build confidence in their skills.
Congratulations to all our award recipients and participants! We look forward to seeing them continue to grow as future innovators, programmers, and problem-solvers.
Just a note! At The Lab, we believe that competitions provide an excellent opportunity for trainees to apply their skills beyond the classroom. Every year, we offer dedicated HCIC preparation training to The Lab trainees who have successfully completed our Intermediate Coder programme. Through these training sessions, trainees strengthen their computational thinking, programming logic, and problem-solving abilities while gaining exposure to the style and standards expected in national-level competitions such as HCIC.
